Marutake Ebisu (丸竹夷), is a dynamic three-piece rock band hailing from Kyoto, established by high school classmates in their second year. In March 2024, within just six months of their inception, the band captured widespread attention by sharing a compelling performance of COMPLEX’s “BE MY BABY” on social media, amassing over 16,000 retweets and 90,000 likes, which notably attracted the interest of renowned musician Tomoyasu Hotei. This surge in visibility led to features on prominent platforms such as Yahoo! News and garnered interest from influential figures and major record labels. Their engaging street performances in Kyoto have drawn crowds of over 100 attendees, further underscoring their escalating popularity.
