Fern Planet was an acclaimed female rock duo that thrived from 2017 to 2019, celebrated for their dynamic live shows and poignant songwriting. The ensemble featured Serina on vocals and guitar, alongside Yamako Meiko on bass and backing vocals. They made their debut on December 13, 2017, with their inaugural mini-album “stardust box” and concluded their journey on December 6, 2019, due to changes within the band. Before establishing Fern Planet, Serina and Meiko were part of the band Rick Rack, which disbanded in February 2017. Shortly thereafter, they formed a new group named ELFiN PLANET, which subsequently transitioned to Fern Planet. Initially a trio, they continued as a duo following the departure of their drummer. After the dissolution of Fern Planet, Serina pursued a solo career under the name 音羽-otoha, releasing an EP titled “PROLOGUE” in March 2023 and another EP, “Unlockable,” in April 2023.
