Galileo Galilei is a Japanese indie rock band formed in 2007 in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, known for their emotional lyrics, melodic guitar work, and atmospheric sound. Blending indie rock, pop rock, and shoegaze, the band gained widespread recognition with the anime theme “Aoi Shiori” from Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day.
After disbanding in 2016, they reunited in 2022 and released a new album, “Bee and The Whales” in 2023, signaling a full return to the Japanese music scene.
