Kaihouku (解放区), is an innovative visual kei band based in Tokyo, actively pushing the boundaries of the genre since its inception in 2021. Initially formed as a session band under the name Kaeru Basho, they formally adopted the name Kaihouku on April 29, 2022, marking a significant evolution in their artistic journey. Their sound intricately fuses digital rock with core elements, offering a fresh take on the visual kei musical landscape.
