Unlucky Morpheus, commonly referred to as Ankimo (あんきも), is a prominent power metal band that emerged in 2008, led by the dynamic vocalist Fuki and the virtuoso guitarist Shiren. The band identifies its sound as Technical Melodic Speed Metal, seamlessly integrating elements from power, neoclassical, speed, and symphonic metal genres. Initially, their artistic endeavors revolved around covering anime tracks and crafting dōjin music inspired by the Touhou Project. However, as their journey progressed, they evolved into composers of original works that highlight their exceptional technical abilities and distinctive style, heavily influenced by the emotive narratives found in game music and anime.
