VALKYRIE ZERO / ヴァルキリー・ゼロ
Valkyrie Zero is a pioneering all-female thrash metal band hailing from Osaka, with roots tracing back to 1984. Initially established as Valkylie, they produced a demo before officially adopting the name Valkyrie in 1987. After their disbandment in 1991, the band reformed in 2015, though they were without their original vocalist Motoko Kobayashi, who had moved to the United States. In 2023, they embraced a new identity as Valkyrie Zero, debuting their first album under this banner. Known for their raw and aggressive thrash metal sound, they draw inspiration from the early works of Metallica and Slayer, while also integrating hardcore elements that emphasize speed and intensity.
